Helpful & Inspiring Resources

My clients often say “I just didn’t know where or how to get started!” If you’re wanting to find some calm and control in your life, I’ve compiled a list of some of my favourite blogs, books, and films that can help you get the ball rolling in that direction.

Before I get started, I want to emphasize that you do NOT have to be or become a so-called “minimalist” to benefit from these resources. They share simple how-to’s, food for thought, and personal experiences to guide you to a simpler life. That simpler life can look however you want it to. (It’s never a bad idea to try to picture it or articulate what it feels like though!)

While I drew early inspiration from these decluttering, organizing, minimalist, and simplicity experts: Courtney Carver, Rachel Jonat, Brooke McAlary and Gretchen Rubin, the resources listed below are more accessible for a wider audience.

If you’re looking for something specific, don’t be shy, contact me – I would love to nerd out about it with you!

Ok, here we go.

Fay Wolf

New Order: A Decluttering Handbook For Creative Folks (And Everyone Else), is an exceptional book by Fay Wolf.

Peter Walsh

This man is a true gem. I’ve had the immense pleasure of being in the audience for two of his presentation for my professional association, Professional Organizers in Canada, and am thoroughly impressed with his clever and compassionate perspectives!

Joshua Becker

Joshua Becker of Becoming Minimalist was one of the first bloggers I stumbled upon when I was exploring the language of decluttering and simplicity.

I’ve had the pleasure of shaking his hand and hearing him speak a number of times now!

His book ‘The Minimalist Home’ is a fabulous decluttering resource.
